Wicked cool, dude! Enjoy it! It says "First Sword" will a Fable Blade be your first ever sword? Talk about starting at the top...

yes, this is my first ever sword. the sale Brendan is having plopped it right into my price range. I was going to get the VA signature crusader, but I think that this will make me much more happy. and everyone else agrees xD

And welcome to sword ownership, welcome to the addiction. Be safe, and enjoy.

for those encouraging words I bestow upon you a Karma. This has been a long and daunting quest, achieving not only the blade, but the means by which to obtain it. I have also been enlightened that a well forged blade is much more than a sharpened stick eager to cleave foes. It's a symbol of might, of valour. A good blade will go where the hand commands, and deliver results desired by the master. Beyond that it will be a man's shield, light in the darkness of fear, comfort in uncertainty. When given the care it needs, it will give you the care you need. Care as more than just a tool, but as a friend, comfort, and guide.

Good stuff! By the looks of his videos and all the raving about Brendans work, seems like you pounced on a really great opportunity for a real snazzy piece. Good work! What a good start!

Ah yes, a spiffy sig will be a must. I must admit my knowledge of swords is still severely limited primarily due to my lack of handling and training. However, I am quick ans anxious to learn. I'm going to try and make myself a scabbard for it, if that fails, I'll at least have something until I can save up for the CSS to make me something awesome xD.
now to start making cutting stands and stocking up on bottles....

The bird has flown the coop Dewskerz She is ready to cut. I shipped it fully assembled. I have put a bunch of mid strength loctite on the pommel. It may be difficult to disassemble, but you shouldn't have to until you wear out the leather : Please check the envelope which has your address on it - it has your sword care leaflet and Cirtificate in there. Let me know if you have any questions at all - after you read the leaflet hehe

Please check the envelope which has your address on it - it has your sword care leaflet and Cirtificate in there. Caring for the customer after making the sale. It's not too surprising that all the people who own or have owned Fable Blades go on about how great the experience was. I hope to own one some day. I'm actually excited for you, dewskerz. I hope the wait goes by quickly!

I love mine, I want to get another sword or 10 made by Bren, I will never part with my fable, though I reckon Bren could do so much better these days.

is has been a wonderful experience thus far. And, based on other reviews of Fable Blades, I'm counting on being impressed further once the sword arrives.
Email responses have been fast and detailed, information was abundant. Thanks again Brendan, I hope that your business flourishes.

If a Fable is your first sword, you'll spend a looot of money on your next ones.

Haha, that's why I'm sort of GLAD I'm a broke college student. I won't be tempted to spend money that I don't have xD

Well, it's here, arrived yesterday while I was beach camping.
Man, I love it. I'll see about posting a noobish review later this week, but I can give an initial impression now.
The looks are beautiful, it looks elegant, but not flashy. It's very solid, hard as... metal xD. it has some impurities, like the handle is not QUITE straight, but I like that look, makes it feel more hand made and personalized, not just one in a million off a conveyor belt.
I really like so far how the blade is a bit shorter, and the handle is a bit longer, 5". This makes it work well in one hand, but it's very comfortable using two hands, with one being half on the round pommel. I haven't done any cutting, I'm waiting for light and my GF to come over so she can video tape it, but I've dry handled it.
One thing I've noticed is that due to the twist in the guard, and point on the end, it can jab and wear at my hand while swinging it, it actually got a bit uncomfortable. But remember this is my first time swinging a sword, so for now I'll leave it at "initial impression" and see how i feel after I get used to it.
But all in all, love it. the fact I own the first sword Brendan made using his heavier machinery, and there is no other sword quite like it, makes it very special. I think I'll keep it xD
