Barring Slayer's secret plan, I'd also advise just emailing Christian Fletcher anyway and telling him what you're interested in. You may be surprised at what's available with a short wait, but the only way to know what's on its way or how to get one is to ask the man in charge.

Well, crap. I went online earlier to email CF about the procedure for putting down a reserve payment, and when I checked the website the 1326 was out of stock. Any other suggestions? I hear the wait time is killer... You don't think there's a chance of any being done by July, do you? Any other swords I should take a look at? at Christian's site "out of stock" basically means "not ready to ship right now" if you want a 1326 email Christian and tell him you want a 1326. if you do that and put down the required fees and answer Christian's questions about how you want the sword then Gus will make you a 1326. it will probably not be ready by July, but you will get exactly the sword you are wanting; isn't that worth a little wait? I bet it wouldn't take a real long time, I think you might be surprised how fast it could come. or it could take forever, these things go that way some times. for anyone sitting on the fence: if you want an ATrim sword, especially if you want a specific ATrim sword, ignore the "out of stock" tag and set up a scheduling deposit with Christian so Gus can get your sword in the Queue. you can pay it off while you wait. see things with Christian Fletcher and ATrim swords work much less like a production company and much more like a Custom smith. Gus puts so much attention into each sword I don't have any problems calling them custom even when they are a specific model. Gus, if I recall properly, calls them "Bench customs" or something like that. what he means is he makes each one like it was a custom he just uses the same specs and plans for more than one and there's always fine tuning for each sword so it is a bit unique. he would never just plug in the program and let it churn out a sword and not care or pay attention to the quality of that exact sword simply because "I followed the plan". nope, Gus won't do that and that's one of the many reasons why he turns out such awesome stuff.

Well, I won't say I WON'T do that just yet. But I'm waiting on an email. Slayer's not the only one with secret evil plans.
I'm not sure if I mentioned it, the reason I was hoping for July is that my birthday is on the 22nd. So I'll actually be home then, as opposed to on my college campus where there is quite literally no where to cut. And really, if I don't have it by then, then it's not like there's any rush, you know? I'll only be able to stare at it, lol.

Yrx, you're going to hate me but it looks like I'm the jerk who bought that sword out from under you. My membership just got approved today, and I hate to have my first post an apology... but I'm sorry! I had been trying to decide for some time between ordering another ATrim from Christian or grabbing the 1326. The day I paid for it (after many back and forth emails) I found this thread... I wanted to post something about it but couldn't until today. So, again... sorry! My suggestion is to pick your fav model and order it from Mr. Fletcher ASAP... it sucks to have to wait but it'll go by fast-ish. I'll post pics when it arrives!

Hey John (or may I call you Johnz? lol), no worries. You didn't HAVE to say anything, so with your first post let me give you your first karma. As for me, it looks like my secret evil plan is going through. As soon as I get enough money to not starve, I'll be sending a check to a certain John Lundemo. ;D

Thanks for letting us know, Johnz. Yrx might have thought it was me that bought it! I am jealous Yrx. Let us know what you are getting.

I'm thinking something pretty similar to the 1326, but with an extra inch or 2 on the blade, a more typical XIII profile, and a single fuller. I don't want to talk about it and jinx it, though, I won't be able to send the deposit until July.

BTW, anyone know how long is John Lundemo's waiting list is? I won't be ordering anytime soon, but I have an idea for a project I'd like him to tackle...

No clue. As far as I know it's not so much of a waiting list as it is a waiting time. A while back it was a few months, but it might have gotten busier since that review.
