I had a couple posts, and had started 2 new threads, a few days ago. No they are ALL GONE. Where did they go? Anybody know any reasons for this?
Threads included:
DSA Armory (debate about the viking sword)
Kreigschert and Practical 304 (Question about the blades on the both of them)
My First "Foraged" Sword (Story of my hand made wooden roman gladius)

Seems there was a proboard server failure. Have a look at this.

Ahh ok, I thought I had been censored or something because of my one thread in "DSA Armory" of the Viking sword debate.
Admin gods (whoever you may be) you can delete this topic if you wish since there is another thread concerning this.

That was a dang fine wooden gladius, by the way. Fine looking workmanship, and I love the history you related for it. The post may be gone, but I remember it----and isn't that worth something?

I think I read all three of those posts, and the story of the gladius was a great one (and a nice looking finish on it).
Nice work Sir, we may be silent sometimes but we are admiring!@
Cheers,
Rob

I, too, liked the story of the wooden gladius. In fact, +1 for that, even though it's gone.

wow that's a really nice looking wooden sword. I'm sory I missed that thread now. I remember your thread on the Krieg and 304 blades and I don't know if you saw it but I figured that considering Shadowhowler's input that their blades felt very much alike that you would probably feel the same about the 304 as you do about the Krieg. I suggested, and still do, that if you want a realy good greatsword/warsword/longsword that is stiffer in the blade than those and not a thrust oriented sword then you should consider moving up a notch in price range and get this baby: www.christianfletcher.com/Christian_Fletcher/Austrian_Greatsword.htmlI reviewed the prototype and it has become one of my favorite swords. I know it costs twice as much as the SBG standard price limit but I think I am happier with mine than any two swords I could get in the $300 and under price range. I know some people just cannot justify that sort of expense for a sword and there's nothing wrong with that, but I really think that if you are going to buy two swords for $300 you should consider this sword instead. and if you are unhappy with the Krieg you could always sell it to fund an upgrade. under $300 I can't think of any Longsword that is cut oriented, a good handling and cuting sword, AND stiffer than the 304/Krieg. whichever way you go I hope you find the sword that is right for you.

I did see that Tom K. Thanx for making sure I got the info. I think I may try my hand at a 304 (as even if it is as "springy", I would like it ), Then spoil myself in the fall with the one you suggested, or something along those lines. UNHAPPY WITH MY KRIEG!!! NEVER! Love it. Just want more swords so that I can get a good feel for what I really REALLY want. Once I find that out, I get it custom done by someone I know will make my dream a reality.

I did see that Tom K. Thanx for making sure I got the info. snip! I like the folks here, I really do. I'm still a newcomer here, only about 15 months of residence, but this place has a feel that I like, that I'm comfortable with. There are a lot of good folks here---newcomers and veterans---and I'll only mention Tom K. as an example, so as not to forget anyone or otherwise embarrass myself. Tom K. shares his knowledge, and responds to questions, and is friendly, courteous and helpful. That's a cool thing.
