Aw, that's a shame. But thanks, man!
I just tried to be thorough. Dunno if I have the time to draft up that one again, lol.

What happened to this thread? There's like, 4 pages missing... Really Luna... REALLY?!?!?! The next person to come into a thread and go 'Hey, there is a bunch of stuff missing, what happened?' I think I'm gonna explode!!! There are several threads about the 'Event' that deleted like 48+ hours worth of conent... Aaarrrgghhhh!!!!!!! Ok... sorry... that was a bit of release that had to happen... I'm OK now. As to the Angel Sword... Style/Taste is very subjective... I have seen many of their designs that I quite like... and some that were very fugly to me. What turns me off about them is not the design... its the following: 1. The price. Hands down, bar none, the price. WAY too expensive to me. 2. The weight. A few of them seem allright... but a lot of them are in the 4lbs to 6lbs range. That, coupled with a lack of distal taper suggests to me that these swords, regardless of how well they cut and how tough they might be, will not handle and feel at all like a sword in my hands. 3. The hype. I dunno if its true or not... there are a lot of arguments for and against if the swords do what Mr. Watson claims they can do, and I am unsure which side to believe. However the 'tone' of how they market them bothers me somewhat... and the 'tone' of some of the interactions I have read that involve Mr. Watson bugs me somewhat as well. If I had more money to spare... I would pick up one or two of these swords and really put em threw their paces and review em for all to read... but alas, they are WAY outside my budget... and if I DID have that kinda money, I'd likely be looking at something from Jake Powning. His work is just so outright beautiful and detailed, if I spend that kinda money, at least I feel it was worth it.

Really Luna... REALLY?!?!?! Heh. Sorry mate. I've been either on planes, on trains, waiting for planes or trains, or in London and generally without access to the internet for the past 3 days or so. I've missed things. P.S.-----Angel Swords are ugly. This might not be true for every single sword they've ever made, but to my eyes it's the rule, not the exception. I just couldn't justify paying that much for something that looks that unattractive. All other controversial factors aside, that's why I don't pay them much thought or attention.

As I stated about Angel Sword before The Great Thread Deletion a couple days back:
- I've seen these swords do some pretty incredible things in person that would trash most other swords. These include being twisted around 360 degrees, wrapped around a pipe, used to cut chunks out of iron railroad track, and cut a Buick in half. I don't doubt the validity of these tests, as they were expoed at the 2009 Atlanta Blade Show. I am not a novice collector - but an experienced one that is also a hardcore skeptic by nature, it takes a great deal to impress me. From what I seen, they are working with a very solid steel that is extremely durable. - Their unlimited warranty seems to back alot of their claims. Additionally, their 100% trade in value when upgrading is pretty impressive.
- Angus Trim and Daniel Watson conducted some experiements in 2004 using the Angel Sword tempering process on a Gus Trim blade. The results were what Gus assumed was about a '5% improvement' over his standard heat treat, with a little improvement in flexibility.
- I'd never own an Angel Sword myself, they are way overbuilt, not historically-accurate, and vastly overpriced.
These were the points I touched on at the time as to my thoughts on Angel Swords. I felt that the OP in the thread wanted to know what we felt the strongest sword out there was, and I casted in my vote. I do not feel that Angel Swords are the best performing, most historically-accurate, or best valued swords out there - but from what I have seen in everything that I have owned, they are definately the strongest I have personally witnessed (provided the tests I observed were not manipulated in some magical way).

HA HA! I was the recipient of Shadowhowlers... and I quote "Aaaaaaaaaauuuuuugggghhhhh". I Wondered what that was all about. I thought maybe you were painfully turning into a werewolf or something. I hadn't been on the forum since it went bye bye.
As for the strongest swords: Darksword gets my vote. I have two of there blades in my collection and I trust the reliability of their blades over all others. Thicker and heavier yes, but stronger than anything I've handled.

Dang, so my cunning remark about the rug has been erased from history? Oh well, I'm sure I'll find another chance to use it

Dom; just took a look at your drawings thread. Very good.....if I could draw like that I'd be very proud of myself. Keep up the good work! Jim Hey! Thanks! Haven't gotten any comments on it. Nice to get a lil love once in awhile. ;D Yeah, everyone freakin' out about the loss of threads... kinda overdoin' it, I'd think. Me, I just remember refreshing the forum home page and getting an error. Later when things came back up and quite a bit of the stuff was lost, I kinda just shrugged. Then again, I didn't really type up anything gigantic like a review or thread like some other people, which could explain why it didn't bother me so much. Lol, I remember Luna sayin somethin bout not being on here for awhile. And look! Mr. Awesome-Designs-Pirate says they're ugly too (I'm gonna call you a pirate forever now)! Now everyone MUST agree! Hahahah, I kid, I kid. george300, good luck with getting that money and a Lundemo blade! That is money well spent, imo. *And I think y'all have made fun of Sean's rug enough by now. LOL.
