Ohh good lord are you guys serious.I can fix,I shouldnt have to regardles of it being a production sword.I have not asked to have it replaced, this was Marcs suggestion. Here you judge and turn your volume up. s960.photobucket.com/albums/ae81/racin8873/Raptor%20shobu/?action=view¤t=DSCN0584.flv&newest=1EDIT: My Nambo has gone thru two months of daily heavy use and is still rock solid. If more people were this picky maybe these things would not be an issue at all. Tom I assure you Im not taking advantage of anyone. This thread was started to get info and send info.Period.It seems like all Ive done is piss people off and bring accusations on myself.

I do NOT want this to set a precident in fact. yup that seppa is pretty loos but again that's a really easy fix and since you have a WSS economical that you got to keep maybe you could salvage it for parts and throw another seppa in there. the thing is man, I know you didn't get what you wanted and I know it is for your son and that is all very important but at this point you are only hurting your self. you could have this whole thing fixed and done with by swapping that seppa with one from your bad WSS Eco or by adding a third seppa but instead you are sending it off because of this and getting another sword that might have another issue that is worse. you have currently: one WSS economical that is no good but the fittings are good and can support a project perhaps, a student series kensei sword that is seemingly perfectly good but not what you wanted, AND a Hanwei Raptor which was also not what you wanted BUT is a more expensive sword that you asked for and the ONLY thing wrong with it is something you could fix permanently in about 5 minutes. you aren't buying a Shinsakuto from Japan here, these are production katana nearly all of them are going to have SOME sort of issue that's why the review format has a "cons" section as well as a "pros" section. you want your sword to arrive perfect buy a custom. at this point I really think you are only hurting yourself. Marc does so much for us here it is amazing but the more he does the more is expected and at some point a line needs to be drawn because sooner or later it will turn to abuse. I am glad Marc is happy to take care of you, and I certainly understand wanting something good for your son but if this is the only problem with that sword I think you HAVE something good and are failing to see it.

Maybe I should elaborate before Im done with all of this. I was keeping this sword. Not returning it. I did not say replace this. I basically said Marc this is how it arrived, just thought you should know it wasnt checked. His response a couple of hours later was basically,I have bought another its on its way my rep will send you a prepaid return label.

you are being too awesome Marc.
seriously, I think there's a real concern he might get one that isn't as good unless you inspect it yourself. you know how it is at warehouses and such, who knows if they will really inspect it just because you tell them to and if they do, do they know what o look for? I get the feeling a lot of inspections go like this: *opens box* "yup, that's a sword, let's go to lunch Joe"
