So a little update for everyone.
I bought my sword on the 17th, it just cleared customs in San Fransisco. Now just waiting for it to get up to Seattle, which should be around tomorrow. ;D Yay!! At the least it will be here by Friday. So I hear you all asking which one did I get. Well I went for the risk and bought the one from ST-Swords. Yes I have read the review here about some problems with them. I also noticed in that review that others had had quite good experiences with them.
One thing that I found obvious was that Sheng Wengang is definately not an English speaker. His English is actually quite poor and most likely the result of translation software. I am feeling that a lot of the missunderstandings from the poor review have to do with this language issue. Yes the person got a defective sword. The way it was handled though may not have been the best. Sheng Wengang has communicated with me well as he could even before buying from him. Sometimes I had to make some guesses as to what he was trying to say, but I have lived in an international community with a lot of people who spoke poor english. I am used to not listening to the specific words but finding the intent the person was trying for.
So the sword cost me $259 + $40 in shipping + 3 in insurance for a total of $302. I will of course do a review of it after I get it and let you all know more.
Here is a stock picture used by ST-swords to sell the piece. Tomorrow or Friday I will put up some pictures of the actual sword I get. ;D
