We're all familiar with New Sword Delivery Syndrome, and the oddly pleasurable pain that is its main syndrome. However, I have just been diagnosed with Late Stage New Sword Delivery Syndrome *(LSNSDS). Symptoms of LSNSDS include unbearable pain, twitching, fits of rage, and delusions of time expansion. Those diagnosed with LSNSDS should be treated with liberal doses of alcohol and movies featuring swords to help alleviate the pain. Only actual delivery of new sword can cure LSNSDS however. Now that I have my weirdness out of the way, let me explain. I've been eagerly awaiting delivery of www.fableblades.com/Valkyrie.html[/url. My apartment complex's office closes at 3 pm on Saturdays. The postman delivered the mail at 3:10 today. Guess what SHOULD have been dropped off at the apartment office today? If you said, "The Valkyrie", give yourself a cookie. So, I have a Failed Delivery Attempt notice letting me know that I can pick up my sword on Mon. morning, after 8:30. I never, ever thought I'd say this, but I can't wait for the weekend to be over. :/ Don't get me wrong, I am EXTREMELY happy that my sword is ready to be picked up. I just wish the mail had been 20 minutes faster today.

The only way to avoid the NSDS is to order swords you don't really want. Or to have enough swords to fondle during the waiting time.

At the very least, I'd like to offer my congratulations on having a Fable Blade on its way! Though it may exacerbate the misery as much as it alleviates... I feel your pain, man. I'm currently experiencing a case of RTCISWS: "Return-To-College-Induced Sword Withdrawal Syndrome". I miss my newest baby: /index.cgi?board=swordreviews&action=display&thread=15356&page=1

hey Luna,
Cant you just sneak your sword onto campus, and cut bottles inside without making the usual moaning and grunting? Don't let her out where others can see or they will do bad things to her...
And congrat's hjorhrafn - although now I know you are a fan of acronyms it's got me thinking what the heck hjorhrafn stands for???
cheers,
rob

Wow it's there already. I was thinking Wednesday would be it. Sorry for your pain. Deep breaths, lots of video games, try not to smoke to much, but save a cigar for the unwrapping.

LoL, What a coincidence, I had a beautiful Dominican Cigar waiting for the arrival of my SBG Custom! Congrats on the Fable Blade BTW!

Which fable blade? You wont be disappointed. Pssh, your wait is nothing compared to some that I could mention, though I don't want to blight this thread with that unholy name. I get my next sword in june, I have to wait all that time, so a couple days or a week or two just dont compare.

Ouch. It's kind of like blue... never mind. That said, Luanaman, just do what I do. Tell everybody it's a really big lamp. Or excessively packaged posters. I mean, what?

I picked up the sword today, and it is everything I had imagined, and more. There will be an actual review in a few days, after I've had time to get to know her better. As for what my forum name means, it is a very bad compound of two Icelandic words for sword *hjor* and raven *hrafn* I've never ran it by a native speaker though, only a few online references. Now though, it wouldn't really matter if I was completely wrong in the spelling since I've used it online for far too long to bother changing.
