Ok, I notice that DSA has a sale going on... free dagger with a discontinued sword. I have been loving the Medieval Knight Sword for ages as well as the Ranger Dagger. Before I buy these items... i ask. is it worth it? It appears there is free shipping as well. I actually should have the money this time around, lol. Car is finally working again Any input? I know they are beastly to sharpen, but I kind of need something to consume me for a while. I am obsessed with projects so much anymore... made 3 board bows, 2 crossbows, etc. lol

Hate to b the one to tell you this... but even tho its still on the website, DSA does not have the Ranger dagger anymore. I know because I love that one as well and wanted to get one recently, and Eyal told me they are all gone.

I own both, Ed, and I love them. The Medieval Knight was my first sword, and I absolutely adore the way it handles. Be forewarned it's a semprini to sharpen. From what I understand, Eyal has hired a professional sharpener, so the sharpening service may have improved. If this is the case, it's worth the extra money. Take advantage of it. Otherwise, they're wonderful blades, and I love mine very much. My niece, who is starting to take a shine to cutting, handles them with ease and they can stand up to it when she flubs a cut. Excellent weapons, over all. I highly recommend it, especially with the free shipping option.

improved sharpening from DSA is good news. DSA has been updating and improving their stuff a lot lately I may have to take another look at them. if this is the sort of sword you like then certainly it is a good deal but don't just click on the buy button or whatever they have, make sure you talk to Eyal and mention you are from here because he often gives SBG members special deals, that would also be a good time to discuss the sharpening option too, I'm sure he can give you a good idea of how it turns out.

^^ despite the price of the sharpening... I should go for it, I have heard stories and I don't want to resort to the speed sharpening tools or my uncle doing it

Is that a good thing? ^ It looks like a beast imo. Well, I have not handled the Knight Sword... it might be a bit too heavy... but the Knight Dagger is MEAN and solid feeling, I liked it.
