Actually razor cut some milk jugs with a unsharpened windlass...so yes it can be done...albeit you are likely to get wet...

I have also cut pool noodles with a unsharpened Windlass.
Just like Tom said, a blunt sword can cut. but they can also stab, I got four stitches last May from being stabbed in the arm with a blunt doing partner training. My friend thrusted through a milk jug with training blunt sword and it went through it , just as easy as a sharp sword would of.

You might be able to get it through a milk jug, but you'd bat a two-liter across the yard. No way it would cut a pool noodle. Fruits you'd tear apart...
But you can take a metal yardstick through a soft melon without too much effort.
This is my Windlass Towton (They don't make them anymore, bummer too, because it's a great sword). With a slight edge on it, but it's more of a training blunt than a razor - Maybe 30 minutes worth of work on the edge.

I tried cutting a water bottle with my unsharpened Windlass XIV just to see what would happen and it sent the bottle flying across the yard with no damage. I managed to stab the bottle just fine though. Heck I do that with my sharp swords! ;D Ric is there anything you haven't cut?! open ended question, you are not expected to answer. ;D

Watermelon is really easy for an unsharpened sword as well, especially if it's ripe enough to split when struck. Next time I need to do some yard work I might find out how an unsharpened sword handles prickly pear cactus.

I have cut pool noodles with my unsharpened Windlass long sword, d- guard bowie, and raven claw Fighting knife. The only cuts I was able to do was diagonal.

Good point, let me add a caveat to that.
If by cut you mean separate one end from the other by employing a swinging motion - yes, you can cut a pool noodle. I got a couple of almost clean cuts - but the sword almost breaks the noodle rather than making a clean cut. It cuts part of it, knocks the other part off.
Somewhere I have a video of me cutting a 2-liter with that sword before I started sharpening it. It looks like a pretty clean cut, but when I go to pick it up, I see that instead of cutting it, I basically broke the bottle in half on a somewhat clean line. That was probably harder to do than cutting with a sharp sword.
So I'm gonna toss it out there that yes, you probably could cut stuff with a not sharp sword, but it's exponentially harder - your edge alignment would have to be spot on, your follow through good, plenty of power (since you are basically breaking things in half with no finesse). I was incorrect to say that it could not be done - but cutting with a sharp sword is probably safer -
For that one somewhat clean cut on the 2-liter, I want to say that I batted it 2-3 times, and while I never lost control of the sword, it didn't go where I wanted either - that could be dangerous even with a blunt sword.
