Hey guys, I was gonna browse through the Angus Trim swords, and went to his site to find it down. Does anyone have any information on this? Could it be just down for a short bit or has he changed his url?

I have not visited his site in a long time... he has not updated it in ages, and he dose not sell and swords directly anymore anyway, he sells them all through Christian Fletcher at his site.

I recently asked Christian about why he took down all the specs on ATrim sword models and pictures and I was told that while it was a very hard choice for him to make he only wants to put up the info on the swords that he has in stock because the specs are constantly changing a little bit as Gus tweeks the designs and he doesn't want anybody to think that they are going to get one thing and then get something a little different.
my guess on the Angustrimdirect site is that Gus pulled it down at the request of Christian to comply with the above policy. or something like that
as stated before Christianfletcher.com is the only place to get ATrims right now.
I have tried without success to convince Christian to return the list of models and stats to his web page, maybe if he is bombarded with requests for specs and designs that have been made in the past he will change his mind.
so I guess if you want to peruse ATrim models to get ideas for swords you want then you need to email Christian Fletcher at his website.

I can't find the tactical line on Fletcher's page. Has Angus discontinued it?

I can't find the tactical line on Fletcher's page. Has Angus discontinued it? He has... however, I have heard that Sonny at Valiant Armoury is going to start a version of the tactical line with Gus. I belive they intend to start with 4 swords... and then go from there. Keep your eyes open for that.

I don't know if he has discontinued the Tactical line but I doubt it since VA is getting some tactical prototypes from them for mass production.
right now there are only four plain ATrim swords available and one CF customized 1557 and those are the only ATrims that have specs, pictures, and prices listed. Mr. Fletcher intends to ONLY list the swords that he actually has in stock. if you want something else you need to contact him and put down a scheduling deposit and ask for it. unfortuneately this means that browsing the established Atrim models for ideas and inspiration is no longer possible. basically if you don't already know it exists you won't know you can ask for it so networking is going to be more important than ever when it comes to picking the right ATrim sword for you. we have only a few reviews here right now and Myarmoury has a few more. what this means to me is that anytime I think I want to get ideas for a new sword I'll be buggin Shooter Mike since he seems to be our local ATrim expert. like I said above: maybe if we all bother Christian for info he will put the specs back up.
EDIT: thanks for the clarification on the tactical line Sean. it's almost like all previous ATrim lines have been canceled and can only be got by special commission or luck of the draw.

Ugh... Tom, I just checked CF's site again to see what your talking about... MAJOR bummer!!! Everything is gone! I wonder what made him make this move? I thought the reason he showed all the swords was so if he got a few requests for perticular swords, Gus would have an idea of what he should focus on making next... now with them all taken down, there is no way to know WHAT Gus can make. That custom AT1557 is pretty sweet looking tho...

I'm not at liberty to discuss but at this point instead of him owing me a favor I owe him money and a favor but that's ok becaus it is a give-and-take scratch-my-back-I-scratch-yours world.
the important thing is it is MINE and I have received confirmation from Mr. Fletcher. so now I can dance the happy sword dance until I fall over

Nice snag Tom. Congrats. I just got this in the mail yesterday. These swords are far nicer in person than the pictures show.

Noooo! Why, oh why, did I put off getting that Type XVIa until I could afford it? Now I have only my TacKat (which I love, but...) I got me a Makers Mark XVIa Bastard Sword. And I love it so. It just handles so easily and feels so right and light in the hand. I do have to point out that edge alignment is tricky with it and I bat more bottles with this than any other of my swords. But when my alignment is on it cuts SO nice. Makes it all worth while. I have an old video (shot in June...ok not that old) of my first cutting session with it. It's fun to go back and watch it. I would say if you know what Atrim model you want, let Christian know and he can pass it on to Gus. Nothing to lose by asking.

I wish it was, but it doesn't look like there is going to be one at the moment. That one was going to have a fuller. This is the AT-1432 bastard. 7" handle, 34" blade, 4 1/2" POB. Almost a perfect bastard as far as one hand and two hand performance in one sword. As mentioned before, I PMed Shootermike and told him what I was looking for. This was his recommendation. I'm going to send it on to Sonny for a scabbard, guard, pommel, and grip (although the grip on this one feels pretty good). Christian is booked out for another year, otherwise I would have him do it for me.
