You can't really go wrong with VA's new stuff--I think that's an excellent choice. There are some little customization things that I know aren't extra (I got my grip and scabbard leather for my VA Practical longsword dyed Antique Brown for no extra charge, for example) but you'd really wanna check with them to get a sense of your pricing options.
It's nice to get something that's a little more personal to you.
BUT ALSO......over in the classified section, there's a VA longsword for sale from our VIP reviewer Odingaard that has been customized a bit beyond the standard fare, and he's offering it for a DISTURBINGLY low price. I really think it's the best Euro sword deal in the classifieds at the moment. .....Something to think about, before someone else snatches it up.

I was just there looking at that listing and it is now sold. someone got a good deal. however the listing that really caught my eye was this one: /index.cgi?board=selling&action=display&thread=12973
this sword is going to be a lightning fast cutter and I'll bet it has more cutting power that a sword that light should have. I have wanted one of these for a long time but I never have money in my sword account when they are available. oh well one day I will just have to commission one and end up spending twice the price of this one for the same thing. is it worth it? yes. so if you are looking for a good arming sword this is IT.
