Hey Marc, I found this quote from stason.org/TULARC/society/guns-canadian/24-What-is-banned-in-Canada.html (scroll down to the bottom) What is "banned" in Canada... "Morning Star" and any similar device consisting of a ball of metal or other heavy material, studded with spikes and connected to a handle by a length of chain, rope or other flexible material. Hope that helps

I have heard that to get these items through customs in some countries they need to be disassembled, handle and ball and then sent separately from each other. Raven

I'd like to see that spiked head on the end of a sturdy mace....brutal. Marc, you should check with customs to see if they'd allow it to come in two or three pieces- might have to have them send it to you separately and not all at the same time.

I think I'd be happy to see that spiked ball mounted in sturdy fashion to the end of that handle. Just do away with the chain. It'd be quite the "zombie smasher" of sorts.

the guys that are interested in these don't want them disasembled but as it is lol
would have to pay someone to disasembled them and ship them unmounted in two to three diferent boxes,, imagine how much it would cost man lol
i'd like to have one in my house too, it is very nice

meh hanwei maces tend to be hollow and too light I actually love my windlass mace. quite the coconut crusher.
that ball looks like it is hollow and the spikes riveted on. me no likey ;( so I really don't think you are missing much.
still the morningstar flail is a very cool weapon if you can get a good one, but I'd call that a MSFLO (morningstar flail like object)
my reccomendation is not to mourn the loss of this one but the loss of the good ones that go along with this one. I think Arms and Armor make one, but they are hard to find.

While shipping it in pieces could get it through customs, having one in Canada means hiding is from all law enforcement for eternity. These types of weapons are instantly confiscated when found. People here have had nunchaku they've made themselves confiscated.

what i do not understand is that,, i made some nunchaku delivered to one of my customerlast year, and learned a couple of days ago that all these are Prohibited.
it mean that i, and the customer, have been lucky that it haven't been confiscated .
or, maybe my memorie playing with my nerves and it was a US guy lol.
these law are so stupid. if i ,or anyone, would want to kick some ass, don't you think that me ,him, her, them, would take anything underhand to hit that person? better stop playing baseball, hockey, cross, or any other sports that have a stick,, it could be dangerous.
better stop selling chains to lock bike on a pole, i could use it. better stop selling kitchen knives it is dangerous. would have so much to say anyway, you get my point? lol
Ah man, it is so dumb.
Maybe i am out of line here but, this is my opinion.

People here have had nunchaku they've made themselves confiscated. Not only is going to be confiscated, you may end up on the receiving end of criminal charges for "importation and/or possession of a prohibited weapon" Nunchuks are legal in Canada if they are the rubber training kind. Other than that, you are out of luck.

So, this is why it is ridiculous to make laws like that. because someone have nunchucks, ball chain or anything with a chain on it will make them more (thief/ criminal)? i don't think so lol

I have multiple pairs of nunchuks, and have been minorly trained with them and STILL would rather fight with bare hands. You have to get really good with those things to be dangerous, it's just because Bruce Li makes it look so easy that all the gov officials freak out in some places. You're not missing much with nunchuku trust me. But Morning Stars!?!? Those things rock... I want one. ;D -Slayer

sorry man, i am not missing a lot?
i do not use nunchucks but two things.
1) i would like so much to have a real nunchucks on the wall as a decoration, having rubber ones make a cheap look .
2) all guys that use nunchucks, i mean a lot that i know, would love to have real ones just to practice with them.
and the morning star now
it is so beautifull. when i look at pieces like that, it make me think that i might like or love to have a medieval decoration (somewhere in tha house) and start to love these swords too. but, i am not sure that that boss would like that lol. i have swords, boxes everywhere, and she started to say hey,, take a brake lol.

I just meant with nunchuks. I'm afraid that they just are NOT as cool as they look unless you're willing to put in a decade of training or so... But the Morning Star would be fantastic to have. ;D Sorry that you can't get one, man. If you ever want to move to FL, you can have my room! ;D I wonder how much a good morning star costs? I'd love one like the pic you posted, but made well. -Slayer

I would like to be able to get a real flail (morning star if you prefer) but I can't. I got a cheap one years ago at the Milton Ren Faire but it is cast metal so in is not practical but it looks great though

As for nunchucks, Arizona has some of the most relaxed weapon laws I've heard of, but nunchucks are still illegal. I've always thought that was ridiculous.
