you know what, I don't think you should consider yourself lacking competence. measure it, weigh it, give us lots of good pictures (looks like you have a good start there), tell us what you like about it and show us some action video. that's all you gotta do to have a good review and the community benefits from every one. go for it! please.
she looks sweet to me but the pictures haven't finished loading.

My goodness...that thing's so big, it looks like you could pole vault with it! I'm being facetious, but damn man...that's a big sword. Did Robert the Bruce truly carry one that big?

Actually, swords like that big Highland two-hander are a few hundred years ahead of Robert the Bruce's time, but thanks to movies like Braveheart everyone seems to associate them with that period of Scottish history anyway. It's a good example of "Hollywood History". OP, that's a very cool sword in any case, it indeed dwarfs the hand-and-a-half sword. I don't believe a review of it would be as difficult to write as you think.

I didn't know Gen 2 made a claymore... yummy. Two, in fact. Check stevew64's review of the Wallace.

I didn't know Gen 2 made a claymore... yummy. Yeah... I have not been paying enough attention either. This Claidheamh Mòr from Gen 2 is the only one I think I would ever buy. Large swords like this are notorious for having strength problems. Given Gen 2's warrant policy, I would feel comfortable buying this. I didn't know Gen 2 made a claymore... yummy. Two, in fact. Check stevew64's review of the Wallace. Do you have links? I can't seem to find in the review section. Thanks.

I'm with Tom on this one. The pics look great, if you wouldn't mind taking the time to give us the basic stats on it, and your personal input, you've got yourself a good review.

A Gen2 claymore? Once I read the heading of your post, I didn't even hesitate to open the link. ;D That is a really, really nice sword. Besides the Braveheart blade that Brendan so lovingly crafted...I would have to say this is one of my favorites! Perhaps this will be my next purchase down the road.....
Thank you for all the great pics! Just looking at them makes me want to feel the heft of such a giant blade

Thank you for all the great pics! Just looking at them makes me want to feel the heft of such a giant blade Giant and (somewhat) heavy. Anyone of the average build is going to become exhausted quickly. And I'm no weakling, but realized I had to resume using the weights, also forearm strength is required, especially in the brachioradialii, bigtime. So at the very least, owning this sword is an incentive to one's neglected personal fitness plans.
