This is footage from my friend Reggie and I test cutting with the Destiny Blade Choji 1095 Katana. I (or Hyoujinsama) will be posting a short review of the katana under the Japanese section in a few days once we more detailed pictures.

Cool... but a question... whats with the hitting the tsuka with the fist? I have only seen one other guy do that, not sure what its about.

Hitting the tsuka with the fist thing is supposedly a traditional way of knocking blood from the sword when combined with certain types of chiburi. It doesn't work, but some styles still keep it.
Nice cutting and looks like a reasonable blade.

Thanks guys!
Bloodwraith is correct that the hitting of the tsuka is one of the ways to perform chiburi. However, Reggie and I are both self taught so I am not sure where he picked it up from.
