Everytime I find the right sword I buy it. Then at night, the sinking feeling that there is a better sword for me is out there. I find myself waking up and goin straight to the hunt. I can hear them calling me. I......have a problem.......help.

I know I have a bit of a problem getting a handle on some of my temptations, but they usually win. I can count the number of good swords I have with my fingers I think, but firearms, musical equipment, ohh Heavens the exotic vintage boots and hats, lets stop there, maybe it is a sign of something deeper?.... O' man this is a problem;... It is just great to be here with a bunch of other.... Pack Rats, like Myself. I'm not so sure if feel sorry for whoever gets my estate if I shove off and die or not.

Thats a BIG collection there, SwordMonger7... interesting variaty between SLO's and Functional blades also. Do you have spots for all of those to display? If so, your place probably looks pretty cool. ;D

Maybe this winter when I am not on a tractor all weekend, I can get the sword racks I bought from BudK up on the walls, and get a pegboard up in the hall for everything else that didn't fit on the sword racks in the bedroom. I have always tried to keep everything in my bedroom so as not to give a bad guy who broke into my house a weapon to use against me, but I guess as long as I keep the guns in the bedroom I will have the upper hand if somebody breaks in Cheers, Mike.

More...Is it OK to put axes here too swordmonger........ you got problems, but you are in the right place. I like your axes. Till I came to SBG I didn't know there were axes you could play. What a eye opener I also have plenty of storage room and would be willing to help a brother out. Rob

I would say that swordmongers collection takes the biscuit , in fact the whole pack o biscuits! Is there any room for you in your place? Lol. My own addictions take the form of swords, guitars, motorcycles, rifles , training in karate oh and Xbox 360. Perfectly normal I would say. There appears to be a lotta like minded "enthusiasts" out there. Couldnt have chosen a betta forum I guess. Reasonably new member by the way!

I have just acquired my first two swords. Unfortunately, now I am addicted at any early age.

I really wish I did have Sword Acquisition Syndrome (SAS). Unfortunately I seem to have a rare and extremely frustrating Attempted Sword Acquisition Syndrome (ASAS?). Since my love of swords was rekindled a month or so ago I have purchased or tried to purchase 6 swords (not counting several eBay bids). However, I have yet to successfully acquire any Windlass Stickelstad: Got to pull it out of the scabbard once, never swung - Now it hangs in my girlfriend's classroom. (admittedly, I bought it knowing this would happen) SBG Custom Ko-Katana: Another 2-3 months of waiting. AT-1509: Up to 6 months of waiting. Windlass Blacksword (to play with while waiting for AT): Damaged in shipping, getting returned. Cheness Oniyuri: Ordered from KoA- told the next day that several orders came in at the same time before they could update the page. Not available till October. (canceled order) Mashiro Mt Fuji Katana (to practice polishing and work on form): Ordered- hopefully on its way At least I still have my old collection... which pretty much boils down to one sword. But since it is a Bugei Bamboo, I guess shouldn't complain...much.

Thanks Since all but 2 swords and 4 knives are all stuffed into my bedroom, there is just enough room to get around in the bedroom without bumping into the swords. This weekend, I will resume by posting pix of my knives, machetes, and other weaponry

swordmonger, you should go for an all-out blitz- every blade you own in one monster pic- then post it in the Collections section of the forum. You have a LOT!
I keep forgetting to count my katana...maybe its because I don't really care for'm so I forget'm until someone mentions them. Well, and 1 is my wife's so...there's that. LOL

LOL If I put all the swords, etc into one place, I would have to somehow be way up into the air for them to fit in 1 pic, then they all be too small to see I am going to take some better pictures of my swords, less in one pic so they will show up better, and start me a thread in the collection section I will go ahead and pic them in the tool rack, so you can see them there
