My name is Liam and I'm a sword-aholic... I currently only own two wasters but spend as much of my time as I can researching sword training and techniques, and try and practice sword forms in every spare moment. I have been doing practice "cutting" with my cane whenever I am on walks (a properly executed Pi, Hao, or Liao cut from a 7/8" thick cane can take out a 2" thick dry branch).
The SO has only forbidden me buying from buying swords until I buy her one first, and the three year old can't even read but has been getting taught basic swordsmanship already. I think the whole family has a problem.

Well, I am at 30 and counting with another one on the way. I admit I have a problem! Not enough space to display and store all the swords I have/want. It would be real easy to double that 30 count if I acquired just the swords that are currently on the market that I want. Need more money as well as space.

The extremes you would go to for me. Of coarse, we would have to change the phrase from "I got your back" to "I got your swords"!

I have plenty of swords, it seems, yet I look at new ones all the time. The swords I get are the swords I use, and I have that habit where if I see a sword better than one I own, I want it. My folks hate it, since I'm home for the summer with my......instruments of war, heh.
I have.........gotta count.... -Ontario Knife Blackwind katana and wakizashi. -Generation 2 Wallace Claymore. -A daisho from handemadesword.com -Do two machetes count?
So.....only 7, I suppose.
That's all I got....

I am a sword addict. If I posted how many swords I have at my home and hidden in a remote wife-safe location, I would probably be getting served with divorce paperwork in the near future... ;D

Hi, my names Avery (sips beer) I have an addiction. Its not the booze( lights Marlboro) or the smokes. No I have a real problem. It's the swords, man. They're worse than the acid and pot combined! I can't stop thinking about them, they're always in my head.....when I was at my lowest I had over thirty swords. And the bad part is, I even bought wall hangers just to get a fix! WALLHANGERS!! Then, I finally came to terms with my addiction. Even though I struggle with this every day, I am coming out of the woods now. One day, I'll learn to cope with this afflection, but I'll never be able to beat it.

I would be MORE then willing to help you out in your time of need. I'll even drive out there and met ya, in the middle of the night, and sneak em away before she even notices. I'd be especially willing to hide that Albion Sheriff that you stole... er... acquired before I was able to. ;D

Yeah, like shadow I could help store some of your swords And if I were to move I would definitely give a forwarding address . Avery, you are a creative man. I really enjoy reading your post. Though I'm a little worried that it may not all be fiction. Or any of it

Look. I been smokin' acid and shootin' pot long before most a yuz were even a gleam in yer daddy's eye, but this time I been hooked! I only got 6, and that's countin' a hawk and a machete, but I heard it's not the size that counts! Now, on the other hand, as a single guy I'd be willing to help out some of the sorry, er, happily married addicts out there who might need to hide their habit from the little lady. Just PM me and we could arrange a "score". I promise I'd take good care of 'em!

I've got it pretty bad. I think I've amassed somewhere around 9 swords in less than a year. I'm eying another 4 at the moment too.

I hate to say this but I get bored sometimes with my swords no matter how many I have and want more.Just counting the ones that will do a good job cutting I counted 15 yesterday and that includes 3 Jody Samson and a very expensive custom Michael Rader. The rest are mid priced katanas and asscorted Windlass and my twin short swords from swordstaff (out of business) and my Conan Alantian sword from Darksword,Plus 4 starfire and quite a few Slo's mostly movie copys and a few axes, spears, maces and daggers. All in all around 30 swords.I have sold quite a few lately just to help with money at home, being out of work sucks.Remember it's not a contest even if you only have a few swords treat them right and be proud to be included in a great hobby/business and able to hang around the forum and show off your swords.

I've had my eye on it for a while, but never knew if it was worth it. Aaaaaaaaaand man, I'll take some of that gum as well. Is the CS Cutlass worth it ............ I think so, the black paint (not really bluing I dont think) does do a good job in keeping rust away and I even store it in its straight leather scabbard no probs. Its heavy (as a CS often is) but its short blade sort of brings it back into balance if you hammer grip it. Cuts well, the CS Cav cuts the best, the Nap would be totally awesome if it was lighter and sharper but both those are lacking and drag it down. Overall I can say I own a cutlass, I wouldnt pay the same money for it again though so find it dirt cheap. It is solid though, I do like its FULL tang with just handle scales, in a basic, armoury looking way its attractive and sits on your belt beautifully. While not a bottle cutter its a real warsword if you get my meaning in dividing those two. Good blade, weight is manageable, tough as, rustic attraction, hope you know how to sharpen cause factory edge bite proverbials.
