Greetings, I have finally made my first cutting video, it is short, but it was fun making and creating it. It shows me doing a bit of cutting with a Windlass Type XIV. And yes, I am actually going to make a real cutting stand! The link below will take you to my site as I don't use youtube.
Thanks -gaffer

Thanks for the video, Gaffer. I like that cutting stand, seems a lot of us start out with one similar. Nice sword.

Thanks for posting, Gaffer. I am a huge fan of Type XIVs! The Windlass variant is a phenominal little sword for the money.

Thanks for posting this! I've wanted one of these something fierce, but I'm afraid I may miss out on it :S

Nice cutting and nice sword! Pretty funny, you got a fierce facial expression when stabbing trough the milk jug, like you were thinking: Die!!
Love that cutting stand!

If I could make one observation; when you cut or thrust, your lead foot should impact the ground while your sword makes contact.
This brings more force and does more damage.

greats vid Gaffer. your projects pages have been a great help to me, it's good to see you cutting with that sword and not just making a pretty hilt for show only. I really like the risers and design of it.

Hey, man, great job! You did quite well, IMO. That last cut was the best, though. Not to mention that you looked awesome doing it! ;D
+1!

Hey,
Pretty good cutting mate.
I mostly enjoyed the Space Invaders-esque music in slow motion.
Thanks, -Tajima

Very nice! And your cutting is not bad either Just kidding, my stand is an upside down trash can right now. It's kinda funny though, you have an excellent site on how to build shields, scabbards, and such. Yet the cobblers children have no shoes Thanks for posting, I really enjoyed! Rob
