I am sixteen and have not been in any "fights" so far. It's quite simple actually. All I have to do is hold my tongue and everything is fine. Excellent, Jonathan, violence begets violence. As has already been pointed out there are no winners from these contests. Have a listen to this.

And BTW, that song gets sung right regular when me and my long time frieds get together.

I'm 21, been in a few fights, but nothing so stupid as trying to take on military property while outnumbered.
Boyle, I've learned (already) that riding a bike on the road normally yields something bad happening to you. You reap what you sew, yes?

You obviously forgot to read this: I was riding in the road because of this: "No person over 11 years old shall operate a bicycle on any sidewalk in Louisville Metro, and nobody of any age shall ride on the sidewalk downtown." www.louisvilleky.gov/BikeLouisville/bike_laws/ That is the LAW here. And, no matter where a bicyclist (or pedestrian) is on the road an automobile driver DOES NOT HAVE THE RIGHT TO INTENTIONALLY ASSAULT SOMEONE which is what that person did to me under the law. Reaping what I sow, my ass!!! I was just a man trying to get to his job to support his family. What was that jerk's excuse?

It could be worse LP...for a while in berkeley, they kept changing the laws of where a bike can be ridden. A bicyclist would get run over by a car and suddenly you had to ride on the sidewalk. Then a bicyclist runs over a pedestrian and you have to ride in the streets. and then the cycle would continue. It change so often, nobody knew where to ride their bike for a while. A state judge had to step in to stop the nonsense because people would get tickets and fight it because the laws changed so damn often (and rightfully so). Course nobody was happy with what the state judge ruled.... Oh and the amount of tax payer money wasted on this nonsense is pretty mind boggling...I have to wonder how these elected offical stay in power when they are so bloody inept that they change their mind about a law 7 times in a month and waste 1.2 million bucks in that span of time. Anyways, the state judge ruled that bikes are vehicles and must follow all state laws pertaining to such...i.e. ridden on the street only. There is no age restriction to this. There is no placement restriction to this. This law basically means a kid riding his bike at a park can be cited. I'm guessing your stupid law isn't as stupid as ours is...and didn't cost even near 1/10 what ours did. Last I checked, still in effect (course that was 5 years ago)...the only place you can ride your bike safely is UC berkeley since they have their own jurisdiction (hence why they can have nuclear products when such is banned in the city of berkeley...exactly HOW plutonium is shipped in when you can't transport it through berkeley to get to UC berkeley is still a mystery to me). Anyways, that's my mini rant about dumb laws. Oh and wee...thread drift .

Yeah CN, it could be worse, I could have been far more injured. Actually the local bike laws here aren't too bad. But mostly because the mayor (now in something like his tenth term) is an avid cyclist.
Sorry for the thread derailment folks, but that little vent had been brewing for awhile.
Anyway, has Parks done anything else of note lately?

You know that is the number one theory...using an invisible space elevator. Number two being a transporter. Number 3 is a network of secret underground tunnels. Considering some of the scary experiments that's happening at UC berkeley, it could be happening . The truth is probably pretty boring though. LP, I forgot to add the it could be worse part...you could get injured by a car that nicks you and runs off and when you report it, get a 100 dollar ticket to boot. Yeah that happened to me. I had to pay the fine, but I got the money back when the state judge made his ruling.

That was a funny song, Ric. It had a good message in the lyrics, though. And I will say that the music was still better than most of the filth permiating from our radios today.

Let's just say that I have something most kids don't have - common sense. Everyone thinks so until that one day we make a stupid mistake. Me, I tried to remove toast from a toaster. Using a fork. Yep, I no longer count myself amongst the sensible. Lucky for me I had someone near by to check my mistake before something bad happened . So, as for "good music", has anyone listened to The Cruxshadow's lately? M.

Amen to that; age ain nothin but a number when it comes to common sense. I actually moved out on my own when I was 12-13 years old... started by living in a park for 6 months, then rented a couch... then a room... had my first apartment when I was 15. Back then, because all the other kids my age lived a very different life then me, and I worked 2 jobs and went to school and was out on my own, I thought 'Ah, that whole with age comes wisdom is crap.... I'm young but I'm wise.' Looking back now... despite being mature for my age by necessity, I was an ignorant moron. Now I say 'Age may not wisdom make, but age grants you opportunities to gain wisdom, should you take them.'

with experience comes wisdom, age has bugger all to do with it except to be the conduit by which experience may be accumulated.

Some of the worst people I have ever met are significantly older than I am.
