Okay should probably post my stuff Left to Right: Hanwei Short Bearded Axe Hanwei Viking Throwing Axe Hanwei Franciscan Throwing Axe (Francisca) Hanwei Mammen Axe Overall the Bearded Axe is to heavy and its length from the socket pulls it to unweildy but awesome camp axe, the Viking throwing axe has to much meat in the edge needs to be thinned down to bite but is well balanced, the Francisca is perfect but the handle on mine is short by an inch where it broke at the socket so shortened and cause I sanded it the big lump of glue at the top is all that stops it sliding off. The Mammen contrary to alot of people is a real good chopper and not all that soft, I have chopping into a concrete slab (accidentally) and all it did was scuff the edge so make that what you will ...... but its handle is so tiny its like holding a twig altough its wood is harder then the other axes which are crap and need handmades put in. Next item is my Deepeeka Scramasax (in review section its meh) plus Hanwei Viking Longaxe Head (handle so short replacing) My drinking horn, war horn (I can carry a note not a tune) Maxwell Honey Mead, lovely drop, made in Aus My favorite Hanwei "Tinker" Viking Sword, Windlass Euro Spear and Windlass Viking Spear both mounted on Tasmanian Oak shafts treated with Neatsfoot and the heads are Antiqued using salt and vineager spray. Closeup of spearheads, antique solution left on for about 48hrs Closeup of Tinker Viking hilt and my Hanwei Viking Spearhead waiting to be mounted, I've decided its gonna be left blunt and ceramonial but I might do a light abuse test for posterity. Thats about all, I'm doing a regrip on my Tinker Viking so I'll post it in Custom Section.

I don't have that one, but like it for what it is, the DVD that I do have is Beowulf & Grendel with Gerard Butler, filmed in Iceland, very good and over shadowed by the cartooonish one in the movie theaters.......SanMarc. I liked the Star Trek version also . Anyone else old enough to remember that one?

I started out as a huge fan of mead...then I got ahold of a bottle that reminded me of nothing more than Triaminic cough syrup for kids- the yellow variety.
I saw that Thor movie with the kid from Tool Time, the oldest one. It was cheesy, but I watched it nonetheless. I look forward to see what Marvel does with this particular hero...one of my all time faves.
Deadpool as Thor...ungodly!

Luka, I am jealous of your mail and sword. I have wanted both for some time, even though I plan on getting the norman instead of the viking. You and I both have something in common - awesome long hair.

Lol, thanks Jon. Btw, I think you want be sorry to buy any Hanwei/Tinker sword. Their handling and heat treat are really awesome. And now it seems that even the edges will be acceptable.

Oh, I forgot to say, if anyone is puzzled what are the little things at the beginning of my sword's fuller, these are thin wooden wedges I fit into the space between the blade and the guard when it started rattling.

I have already decided to get the norman, I just don't know if I will be happier with the GSOW or the VA longsword.

Some of my stuff. The shields are stuffed away somewhere, and I have a couple of unmounted spearheads. Still lack a good sword, but the VA Hedemark will be mine some day!

I have already decided to get the norman, I just don't know if I will be happier with the GSOW or the VA longsword. VA longsword looks to be much lighter more all-round hand and a half which you can wield with one hand if needed. GSoW seems to be more dedicated two hander with its 4lbs.

Interesting thing on names, my son's middle name is Odin
Spelt the common English way so people will just pick up on the phonetics I was wanting Odhinn a little more near tradition but my my wife while really liking Odin wanted that spelling ....... all good really

Yes, indeed. I don't think I would use the VA with one hand much. I heard that while it is possible to use it with one hand, it really isn't great unless you use two hands. The Hanwei/Tinker bastard sword supposedly performs as good as a one handed sword one handed, which is what I think of when I hear the term "hand and a half", although I am not going to get the tinker bastard. I know that the VA LS is a lot faster, more nimble and lighter than the GSOW, but the GSoW isn't a longsword - it's a warsword. So I really do not know if I want to get the awesome VA LS which has become legendary, or go a step up on the big sword scale and get the GSOW.
