I didn't see any of the links but based on what you've written, I keep getting an image of Roran Stronghammer (from the Eragon books) - he got his name for the way he used his hammer. It was a smith's hammer at one point I believe.
Or maybe you want one like the original Mjolnir with a longer haft?

I don't like the new-fangled hammer...I prefer the old, rectangular, stone-like Uru hammer he used to wield.

I have one of those at work, musicalpoo. We use it to pound stakes and posts. I am left wondering if you had to pay extra because it's a "weapon" instead of a "tool."

Led Zep rules!!!! Are you looking for functional or just looks? If you're looking for 'just looks' then you might want to look up Gunnar's hammers on google from the movie Outlander. They're made of foam but look spot on- and they come in a set of two. Oh look, strongblade's got'm on their site: www.strongblade.com/prod/sb-ol-gunnarhammer.html

this looks like the lump hammer I have in my garage, but it costs 20 times as much. It looks like you could just get a sledge hammer/mallet from a hardware store and customise it

Yeah get a squarish sledgehammer, sand off its paint, take a steel file to it if you want to change its profile a bit, take a hand planer or sharp knife and sand back and whittle the handle a bit to give it a rough, cut from the tree look (looks more authentic perfectly sanded isnt). And get some leather wrap on the handle bottom. But the trick with damage with the head is to put the force on a smaller point so maybe changing the head striking surface size or not having a head with huge surface spread

if someone explains how to get the pics loaded on the page i will post pic. Once the pictures are on your computer (i.e. off the camera), you put them on your photobucket (get photobucket), then once they are on your photobucket, you drag your mouse across the pic, and a little thing will come down. Click on the bottom one, I believe it says Copy, or something. Then just paste it here If you need more help, let me know.
