I took my Hanwei European swords out to play today.
Edward III sword.
I've had Eddy 3 for a while and he's holding up well exept for one of the rings in on the grip being a bit loose and today I noticed some very slight looseness in the pommel. It hasn't affected the grip and doesn't concern me as yet.
Albrecht II.
Al 2 has always been one of my favorites. The overly large pommel does tend to get in the way when executing two handed cuts but he's solid as ever and a good looking sword in my opinon.
Bastard Sword.
Misnamed as this is truely a two hander. Fun to use, tho taking me some time to get used to the length, I have beat the hell out of my stands with it. I noticed today some very slight shifting in the grip, seems to be a common defect in this model. Lucky for me others have fixed this issue and posted the process here. At any rate I like this one.
It should be noted that I had to sharpen all three of these swords before I could get them to cut decently. With a good edge, I'm very pleased with each of them.

Thanks Ric! I've been looking hard at all three of those swords for a while, and it's good to see how they cut. +1 from me too! Cheers Marc E

Thanks, Deb, yeah we go through a bit of litter around here. I'm kinda compulsive about saving the buckets, tho DJ is nudging me to throw some away.
Thanks, Marc, these are decent swords. Of the three I like Al the best no question.

Ric... you are still the undisputed lord of the waterbottles. ;D +1 from me for showing us these swords. The ring on the bastered (two handed sword) is pretty nice... not Gen2 12th century nice mind you, but then again, what is?

Wonderful cutting Ric. Too bad they discontinued the Eddy 3 sword.
