From the same episode as the Kopesh, Mike Loades discuss the power and engineering behind what I think is the sexiest bow ever made, the angular bow. BTW, if anyone here knows where I could buy one of these, I would be eternally grateful. Enjoy!

JP: not exactly like that but we have some makers in Aus that make traditional recurves from the huns and scythians and such.

Great post JPfranco. Karma +1. I have never seen Egyptian bows. Kind of weird given how much study I have done on both Egyptians and bows.
I picked the warbow in your poll for its potential to penetrate armor. I thought it strange to list both warbow and longbow in the poll since a warbow usually refers to a longbow with 100+ lb draw weight. 60 lb longbows are generally used for hunting. They are both longbows.

JP: I can do you one better and give you their website www.wildwoodarchery.com.au/I have been tempted to pick up their hun bow for a while now, I just don't have the resources to start archery at the moment.

Given the period, I'd rather have a solid stick in the rain than I would a glued together piece of plywood. I went with the long bow.

I went with the Warbow. Mainly because I have one ;D (albeit quite weak when defined as a Warbow-90#)
