Hello!
So I bought this falcata from a friend who owns the a cool store called The Brass Key for about $50 worth of labor in his shop. When you hit the blade (not flexible at all, though I'm not sure falcatas are supposed to be) it would buzz, and where the non-sharp edge meets the guard, there's a weld. When the weld broke, so I emptied about an ounce of krazy glue onto the weld and inside the guard. It doesn't buzz when you it it any more There's a white lining between the blade and the hilt, that is krazy glue
Here are the stats:
Blade length: .............................20"
hilt length: .................................5"
blade width at hilt".....................2.5"
thinnest part of blade:...............2"
fattest part of blade:.................2.5 (same as blade width at hilt)
Comparison with my DSA-Gothic (and it's sexy scabbard wrap)
here it is alone
There are many little nicks in the blade, here's the biggest.
here's the weld that has been krazy glued
another full shot on mah bed
hilt
it's a very shiny blade, but rather scratched up, here's the end of the fuller, it's particularly scratched.
and finally, the AWESOME shot of the sword on my fire-pit with our two fire-proof lizards.
it's not particularly comfortable in the hand, so I generally use it as a training sword. I go swing it around outside for an hour, then pick up my beloved DSA-Gothic and can wield it like a rapier.
I hope someone knows what this might be, there's no Gen 2 stamp, and it seems kinda too small. I hope this is satisfying for all
