I was eagerly awaiting another Sam-project!
Glad to see the Euro-sword is getting some representation! I went to the tower of london last summer, and this blade reminded me of the 15th century swords they had on display there. Whether you intended it or not, its really similar!
Gorgeous.

There it is all finished.
Thanks Matt, when are YOU gonna get back in the shop?
Yeah I didn't design this one under any specific typology, or after any historical sword, just outta my head, I love it when they look like swords from history when I do that:D.

I have a seax getting its fittings mounted. It will be done in the next week or so. I also have a short little craft knife in the works for Bea. She bought me some purpleheart to mount it up with. I had a few failures that have taken their toll, plus I recently spent a lot of time on some decorative work for sale. I gave a local cafe come art gallery a poker I had forged for their woodburning stove, purely as a gift. They liked it so much they offered to sell some of my work. Cool, huh?

A verry propper tang. Looks great Sam. Saw this puppy all finished over on SFI. Well done. I prefer a but more taper on a long sword but I think you have done great on this piece. Keep it up. I think we all like seeing you progress as a maker.
