It's been awhile, I've been working slowly, little bit at a time. I finally finished that cocobolo scabbard. When I last posted on it, someone suggested I make a suspension for it. I thought about it and decided it also needed a chape and locket. I started dabbling with leather, and while this could be a lot better, I'm pretty happy with it. I made a throat dressing and straps for it, then got my hands on a bronze chape. On future projects I'm going to make sure I have the chape in hand before I shape the wood. I almost ruined this scabbard fitting it to the chape. Had to manhandle the chape with a torch and pliers too. Here's another one I'm working on: This one is made of Wenge (congolese rosewood, devilwood) I have a pattern for the locket drawn out, not sure about the tooling yet, or the suspension. I also have a chape for it, but I have to tin it and I won't have time for awhile. (moving again) Better pics when I have a chance and there's daylight. After I get set back up I have another one coming ) thanks for looking ;D Any feedback is appreciated.

How do you make the chape and mouth piece?

The mouthpiece is tooled leather, and I bought the chape. The chape is cast bronze, see Brotherbanzai's thread for the particulars on how that's done. I want to get set up to cast my own stuff in the future, but for now I'll settle for what I can buy.
