For some reason I'm still having trouble getting my videos to show up in the thread ...click on the link to see it. Warning: the music is quite cheesy, along with my bad form.

Hmm...pretty good. Not as good as your other video! I just rewatched to listen to the music again! You're form isn't so bad - I've seen much worse. I think you are doing OK mate. Thanks, -Tajima

Maybe if I wasn't so "healthy" my form would be better. I agree that my other video is better...I was a little cautious about hitting my high quality tamishigiri stand. Thanks for the compliments!

No worries Oni, your doin' fine. That cut on the small PET bottle looked like a slap. ie. Your blade was angled for a more horizontal cut then was executed.
Practice, practice, practice!

Yeah, that cut was horrible. It looks like I scooped/slapped the target instead of cutting. Here soon I shoud be getting some mats and a stand...and some training wouldn't hurt.

Get some pool noodles. They are excellent for testing your form and speed, and I can't see them causing much damage to the blade (other than abrasions on an etched hamon - IE, my Hanwei Bamboo Snake).
Tatami has a large potential to damage blades, however.
Rotten fruit is always fun too - but not when you forget to take the seed out of peaches!
Thanks, -Tajima
