Beenlooking around on kukri house, not sure what to look for exactly.
Basically, I want it fairly cheap talking 50$, and it needs to take plenty of abuse, this will be for throwing so you can imagine how much force it'll need to withstand.

It's too bad your budget is so low mate, can't help with sub 100 khuks, good luck though. Why do you want to throw a khuk? The balance is not that great for throwing. Try the windlass khuk it might do what you want.

Get the Ka-Bar kukri. It comes razor sharp and will hold up to a lot of abuse. I do not know how good it is at throwing, but I know that the Windlass version is perfect at that.

Don't worry about not having alot of money Bishop. I don't feel like kukris should be pretty I think they should be used. Any kukri Cold Steel, Ka-Bar, and Windlass makes will be fine. Too many people think only expensive weapons work...someone with an Albion can be killed by a guy with a steak knife from Wal-Mart if he gets close.

Well bloodwraith what would you suggest above my price point then. This knife will be thrown at a board, possible land on rocks, metal wire, in the dirt, so spending a couple hundred dollars on a knife that I just want for throwing doesn't make much sense.
But I'm curious as to what you suggest.
I don't like the KaBar Kukri, I think it's ugly as sin, sorry.
And yes Facina that's true but Higher quality=Durability usually.

I'd try an Himalayan Imports Chiruwa Ang Khola in the 16" OAL range. They are monsters for just about everything. I own 2 and they work just as HI promises: Able to chop down almost anything, and a suitable crowbar in a pinch. Plus, if you ever break it, no matter how or why, they will send you 2 as a replacement! If you go to their forums and watch the deals of the day, you can get one for $60-100ish. All the blades come from a handful of smiths(kamis), each does excellent work. I highly recommend them!

Forgive me, but why would you want a Kukri for throwing? I am just curious is all...
And if you are just going to throw it, why not just use a Cold Steel or Ka-Bar?

Because I find kukri throwing interesting and challenging. I mean, it's not just going to be for throwing, but that's the reason that I want to get one now.

Kukris aren't really the throwing type of weapon and frankly to throw one is just a bad idea. Then again, people throw axes regularly.
I'd advise against Cold Steel because their kukris aren't. Kabar kuk? That's hilarious considering the path the Kabar tanto thread took... Let's just not go there.
Windlas kukri? Hmm...well, it's $20. That could mean great deal or it could mean getting what you pay for. Ultimately it's a windlass and frankly I'd get something else.
The drawback of Khukuri House (and most kukri dealers) is the shipping will cost about as much as your knife. I remember when slav and I were hunting for new kukris about a week ago we noticed a $40 model from Khukuri House would cost upwards of $30 to ship. Ouch.
Himalayan Imports does nice stuff, sure, but considering their least expensive model (last I checked?) was an even $100, THEN we have about the same shipping as anywhere else...yeah, no.
At this point I'd suggest keeping an eye out on eBay. You might find a good deal from a domestic seller who won't overcharge shipping too badly, but bear in mind...eBay. Caution is an understatement.
Good luck.

buy the windlass if you just want to throw it, strip the handle off and wrap it in paracord or whatever. I personally like himalayan imports but would never throw them, I also wouldn't ever throw a khukuri sounds too dangerous the way khukuris are made.

Ehh just never mind it all, way too complicated/overpriced to bother with, I'd rather buy a BRKT Bravo-1 and another axe. Thanks for the help anyways.

Sorry mate, I would suggest tomahawks or throwing knives if you want to throw, khukuris are complicated especially if you want to buy one for throwing.

As much as I would hate to recommend it, but a cold steel kukri can take tons of abuse.
In fact, it was one of the most durable blades Noss ever tested on Knifetests.com
It took an absurd amount of abuse, and for the price you can't go wrong...
Ugh, really does pain me to say that, but yeah, they are durable as hell and have been tested extensively by noss...

It really isn't that hard to throw kukri if you can throw a tomahawk. Sarco has some real cheap ones don't how well they are built ever seen one. I'll try to find a website address here soonn. If you want to throw a kukri go ahead and do it.

Sorry mate, I would suggest tomahawks or throwing knives if you want to throw, khukuris are complicated especially if you want to buy one for throwing. Anything can be thrown successfully my friend, knives, forks, spoons into cardboard probably, wooden spikes, toothpicks. Kukris are just challenging so I was considering getting one, but I guess I'll just pickup another axe and the Bravo1.

I've always wanted to be able to throw playing cards so that they would cut into cardboard...
Gambit style, minus the kinetic explosion...

People often seem to forget this about their blades.... Just don't pay too much, and make sure the handle will still be safe after multiple impacts. Stripping and wrapping the tang in paracord was a good idea, I thought.
