Hello again,
I have been shopping around for some stones recently, but all the stones I do find are rather...well, expensive and I generally don't have any information regarding the stones themselves.
I was wondering what kinds of stones people on the forum use?
I would personally like a Japanese water stone, but again, cost is an issue at this point in my life, or water stones in general would be great if someone can point me towards the right manufac.
Thanks a bunch,
Sal

I think I like, I'll have to take a look through it when I have the time.
Thanks, Sam.

They make special honing oil, Norton makes it. Just post any stone oriented questions over there.

Link doesn't work, but I know what you were trying to link me to.
I hear they are pretty good, I might give 'em a try someday.

If we're talking for sharpening a katana then I don't know but picking up an Arkansas stone would be a good idea for general use, they're very fine stones.
