Well i have had this for 3 seasons and for some reason still havent gotten a good picture of me in it,except the one with the horned helmet taken by some magazine photographer. The suit was made by slayer/George from "The Enchanted Cottage" It is made from 16 gauge waterbuffalo hyde with titanium rivets. the entire suit is kind of made like a sandwich with either 1/8 or in some places 1/4 in steel plate put between leather. the helmet I bought later from a guy i met at the renfest here in Ga and as ludacris as it looks it gets a bunch of picture and stares all day.The boots are from son of Sandaler and are extremly comffy. It took a while to put this together but we need to move to a cooler climate most of the time it's to dam hot here in GA for this garb.

No kidding it gets hot here in Georgia... hot and HUMID. It would be AWEFULL in the armour I want. Then again, i only expect to be in Georgia for another 3-5 years so... there is that. I currently go to both the Georgia Ren fest in the srping and the North Carolina RenFaire in the fall. The one in NC is MUCH more pleasent weather-wise. Just in lose pirate style clothes I was DIEING at the Georgia faire last year.

I LOVE Irish Wolf Hounds... someday if I own any decent amount of land I might look into find a couple to share my home with... they are AWESOME dogs. As for the NC Ren Faire... from ATL it would be QUITE the drive. It's about three hours from where I am in Augusta, so add on 2&1/2 hours from where you are. Thats 5 & 1/2 hours of drving... and thats lame.

Nice kit and doggies.
I'll agree with Georgia sucking as far as the Ren Faire heat goes. There have been countless times where I ended up having to ditch about half of my gear back in the car it's gotten so hot. The Minnesota Faire is just as bad though. Even though its further north, its actually warmer there than at the GA faire on many occasions.
The only one I've personally been to that is cool enough to wear a cloak to is later on at the NC Faire if you go starting in October. Of course, Dragon*Con is all indoors and climate controlled, so that's another option for some more exposure!

Ya'll should swing by the Pennsylvania Renne Faire in Lancaster. From August to October, every weekend. I promise you won't be complaining about the heat most of the time. Especially the October days.
