Hmm I am saving for three swords in the future, 3 custom designs, one by brenno, one by John Lundemo and one by Dr Jim Hrisoulas. John has made a couple "warder" swords and they are something I love the look of in future. First I will probably get Bren to make me a yatagan. When you love the kinds of swords that I do, custom is the only option. Also I wouldn't write off CS or Windlass shamshir as being crap as there aren't many sources for blades like that and they are very good examples and one I hope to pick up at some point.

I have the CS Shamshir and it is fine. No unintended curves or bends and I like it!

Purchased my first sword/dojo cutter a couple of months ago and I recently purchased the nicer/backup dojo cutter thanks to this forum. The next on the list would be just high dollar pieces much later down the line. One would be a Nosyuiado steel "iaito" when I am qualified and confident enough to use a live blade for kata. Got to handle one and it really is light/lively. Almost confused it for a aluminum zinc iaito. After that Howard Clark L6 after I figure out what type of katana I prefer and the same with a tamahagane nihonto since I haven't had a chance to try out many swords yet. And the last piece would be an Albion longsword (The Sempach or something like it) just because I want one. Wouldn't know what the heck to do with it though. I probably won't be looking for another pure production sword unless one of my dojo cutters become utterly useless (which I can see happening because of just the whole trial/error and learning process of a newbie). -Kyle

I have the CS Shamshir and it is fine. No unintended curves or bends and I like it! I'm jealous. I almost had one... but it was twisted slightly at the last 1/4th and I had to send it back. I liked it tho... would like a NON screwed up one in the futute... but the retailer said that the one I had was as good as it gets, and that all the others in stock were as bad or worse. I don't buy that...

I really like Fable Blades William Wallace Braveheart sword. Wish he had a contest/giveaway with me as the only one to enter. ;D But blades I may be able to talk my wife into (she has this funny idea about feeding the kids and paying bills first) are-- Darksword's Ranger sword and Anduril. If they made Sting I'd like that one too. What can I say I like Lord of the Ring. Then I think Cheness' O-Katana. What am I at now two grand?? I could definitely make this list bigger. I know I'll feed the kids, but screw the mortgage. We can live in the van. Think she'll by that? ;D

There's a guy selling the Anduril in the 'classifieds' section for $210, I believe. And they DO make a version of Sting, available at ArmsofValor.com.
I hope this helps!

Of coarse with five kids 90 buck is 90 bucks! Thanks also for the ArmsofValor site I'll check it out.

Heck it's almost a done deal----- NOT. I think we would miss the bathroom to much LOL. My wife says I have an addiction and should seek professional help. This from a woman with 12 birds.

I think my list for the foreseeable future is:
- Maybe a Del Tin 2130 from KoA (maybe later... still thinkin' about it, gotta save up some money first)
- ATrim Maker's Mark Flared Shoulders Type XII that's been through heat treat and is being ground now
- ATrim prototype Type XVIa bastard sword that will probably become part of the Maker's Mark line (it's in the mail now for review)
- Windlass/MRL "Type IV" that I won on myArmoury (WOOHOO! Nathan is THE MAN!!!)
- Maybe something Albion if the right deal comes along... or maybe not.
- Oh yeah... then there is the ever-elusive "who knows"

Well realistically speaking...
My custom sword that is being made right now [Hanwei tinkerline bastard sword sharp Hanwei tinkerline bastard sword blunt] or [Customize hanwei hand and a half (complete rehilt and regrind) Customize hanwei practical hand and a half (complete rehilt)] Valiant bristol practical version A custom XIV...or maybe I'll settle for the windlass one...undecided yet. And maybe the atrim XVIa that mike mentioned...
2 Musashi DH 1045 sword...but they aren't for me per say.
Gonna be so broke forever...
