so im taking my first katana to bits... its a cheness... all is going well..
until i meet this bloody brass peg that wont move an inch, or a mm.
how hard am i to hit it?

watch it man, there is a side to take it out. one side is a litle bit bigger than the other. if you try to take it off the wrong way,,will never get out of there mouhahahahaha i made that mistake and had difficulty after that to take it off. it was stuck very well

oh for that i couldn't say,,it was my first experience and i turned it so much that i didn't know wich way to put it back lol.
but,,just take a look before knocking too hard for nothing lol
but the logic would be the same direction man.

If memory serves, the mekugi are supposed to be installed reverse to one another (in the event of two even being installed at all), and removed from the side the palm would cover... Something about if the peg were to slip out during use, the hand would stop it from getting too far and prevent the blade from getting loose.
Of course, it's a Cheness, so who knows?
