They've been making their way in for a while now. It just happens they've really caught on suddenly. This is what happens when the really bad anime (I'm looking at you, Naruto ) manages to gain a following (infect the populace like the disease it is?). Just wanted to point out that Naruto is a lot better than a lot of other animes out there that already had a following (that means you, Dragon Ball.)... Hey, the Dragonball frnchise was alteady a classic by the time it hit western shores. Naruto had failed miserably by the time somebody failed to notice and brought it over. Though granted there are many shows far worse than either...there are countless that are so much better, as well. Sadly, Sam, a lot of the people buying these things are not teens. Of course, they are made pretty cheap, so they could. Too many adult fans appreciate them, too, and can spare the expenses. The kids just convince their parents. (says the guy with tens of thousands worth of anime figures and merchandise...BUT NO [ANIME] SWORDS!! )

Well... talking about anime swords. I know of a (crazy) Irish blacksmith with some visions. His swords may not be really battle ready, but they are definitely not breaking or something when he uses them. But look for yourself:

But look for yourself: I wouldn't expect a flamecut out massive thick hunk of steel to break, especially when he is just smashing pallets with it. I don't like the reproductions of the berserk sword that are super wide but not super long lke the super wide version was, no one ever makes the one from the beginning before it got overly long, but even then the one he fights the snake lord guy with in the start still isn't all that wide. They look too much like a damn buster sword.

Agreed. I love the dragon slayer but the only accurate(?) ones I have seen were made from card board or fiberglass. But a real Dragon Slayer would be impossible to wield, as it is supposed to be in the Manga.
