I am wanting to paint one of my tsuba with some gold and silver, but I don't have a clue on what kind of paint to use. Suggestions?

Powder coating if you can find it works very well (and looks nice). But then again you'll need an air brush. If you just want durability though, caliper paint is pretty dang tough. Kinda ugly looking however. If you wanna apply just accents though, how about using gold and silver leaf and some glue? It'll look like real gold and silver because it is .

I'm just wanting to do some accents, I have a bunch of metallic acrylic paints...but I doubt those would work.

I don´t know but if it´s an iron tsuba any kind of paint that is used on iron/steel for outdoor use should be fine(?) F.ex. carpaint.
I´ve thought about this. Are there any historical examples of tsubas with painted detail/s? Not just bladegold or what you call it, but painted with paint and a brush? Sure it must have occured? I have´nt seen any though. Perhaps they were but have been worn so it is not possible to see now. Names, text, symbols and such...
