www.handmadesword.com/index.htmlI ran across this site that markets Chinese forge katana (or so they say) They seem to have nice swords and they seem reputable.... Many of their designs look similar to many other swords I have seen, but the quality seems much better. I was wondering if anyone has bought one of these katana and if this site is all they are cracked up to be. OR if anyone just has any info on them I would be interested to hear about it.

Baiscally...you can do much better.
Sub 100...go with musashi...especially their DH 1045 swords. They are VERY nice for the price. Especially since they can be had for around 60 bucks right now.
Sub 300...well, it gets a bit tighter around this price range...but you have to realize that you can a ronin sword with silk ito in this price range.
Over 300...don't even bother. If your willing to shell out that kind of money, you shouldn't be buying from people who considers etched hamon to be real hamons.
Not the worst we've seen...but nowhere near the best.

Thanks for the feedback! Just what I was looking for. The one thing that I wish was that Musashi produced Wakizashi that matched their Katana. That would be something. If I had the money I think this is where I would go bugei.com/

I am not sure if any one knows of this place? But if you have the bucks this is where I would buy my next katana. These guys will not seel to you if you just call them ans say I want a sword. They ask you questions about what type of steel, how much sori and what type of hamon do you want, or do you want a bo-hi etc etc. www.swordstore.com/If you have then cool as I they have the sword made in Japan and then sent here. Guess they are a broker as that is the only way to get NIHONTO out of Japan is by a broker.
