in my search for a musashi dh blade being sold at a reasonable price in my country i have come accross these...; note; this website sells both some decent swords and a lot of crap swords, normally i can tell a mile off, especially when it says 'kawashima steel' on the display box that they are poor. i cant figure where these are from, obviously they are not "custom designed to our specifications" like the website says, lol obviously some of the fittings here are the standard low end production market style, some seem reasonable, and possibly maybe above average sayas, but these blades look like they might be something of a diamond in the rough, 1065, clayed, full half and no hi variants etc. or they may be your typical handmadeswords dot com made to look nice piece of crap. im unsure which is why i put it to the group can anyone identify these 'buk' blades...; www.blades-uk.com/view_items.php?cat_id=49

Well, the fittings look quite aesthetically pleasing, but certainly low end stuff painted to look nice.
Without more closeups on the blade, my guess is as good as anyones.
They seem to focus way more on the fittings than the actual blade.

At least a few of their swords boasts genuine hamon due to clay tempering. Their swords are definitely aesthetically pleasing but that isn't to say they're good quality. I'd say if they're in country and no license is needed for them its worth it to pick one up and see. Worse comes to worse there is a return policy isn't there? If you're looking at a DH blade that's decently made it might be worthwhile for you to look into this since you don't need to go through the hassle of customs, licenses etc. Its a bit easier on the shipping too I bet.

the licence thing isnt really of concern to me, as i actually have a licence.
try as i will the website owner just will not reveal the identity of the blades
he says they are on a par with ryumon, but ive just got nothing to go off...

I remember seeing another site that sold these exact swords, they gave a better picture of tha hamon. I recall it looking real, but I clearly remember the fittings being terrible.
