I'd vote Kindjal, partly because I prefer the curved blade, but mostly because I think its prettier ;D Actually, a more practical reason, having edges on both the convex and concave edges gives greater cutting variety, and it'd be very interesting to compare them.
Please report if you do!
Cheers

I have had the Qama. VERY wonderful little weapon. The handles are polished Water Buffalo horn, and it hold a god edge. Bad part? The pins on the handle will drive you nuts, and the tip is a little delicate.

I've got both swords. The bolts/knobs on the Qama are a pain. The ones on the Kindjal are farther apart and don't give me any problems. Both are very light weight weapons.

I'd go with the kindjal personally. Poohze put it well regarding practical/martial considerations; and no small bias comes from the influence of the Dune novels.
