Hey guys, I've really enjoyed reading stuff on this forum I just have a question about the Gen 2 Pompeii Gladius I bought about a month ago. I love the sword -but after doing some cutting with it the metal plate on top of the guard has gotten quite loose. It still cuts but it's annoying to have it rattle whenever you swing it around. Know any way to fix that? Any tips would be appreciated !!

Hmmm, sorry to hear that Andrew. I have the older version of this one, haven't had that problem with it as yet. Do you think you could get some epoxy between the steel and the wood guard? Just a thought.

Sweet I got a message from the gladuis king ;D
Yeah, I thought about that -I might give it a try. I just thought maybe (if Gen 2 swords have threaded tangs) I could take off the pommel and tighten up the hilt.
Anyone know how the Gen 2 gladius is put together??

No idea how they're put together, Andrew. I don't think the pommel can be unscrewed tho I could be wrong. I checked after I read this thread and the steel plate on my Gen2 mainz is a bit loose also. I cut myself checking it, thanks a lot, buddy. LOL ;D

Unless your peice is pretty old, the tang will be peened, not threaded, and thus disassembly will be tricky. Gen 2 peens all their stuff now.
