Edit: I am joining the disturbing trend of getting 30% of the original purchase price. Asking $600 for this one which is basically a production price on a full custom. I paid $1700 2 years ago. Yes it's more of a fantasy piece and a little rough around the edges as per the style of it's author, but it is a sole authorship piece with a superlative steel and heat treatment. This is a very large custom messer by Brushing Cutlass/Lorne Alladin who appeared on ye olde Forged in Fire. His site I believe is bcco.shop and he is not a well known maker, but he isn't inexpensive either. This beast is 49" long and around 6 lbs. It's claim to fame is that it's 15n20 steel heat treated to Larrin Thomas' spec. Giving it very high hardness and toughness...the best possible combination of the two according to his tests. As you can see from the pics it's got a steel guard and nagel and a carved wood handle and scabbard. It's a rough and ready type piece but very well made. I paid $1700 for this.
