Hanwei Katzbalger and scabbard reground to have lenticular cross section and more rounded point. As received condition: The leather grip and ricasso wrap is loose in places, guard a pommel are slightly loose, blade is slightly warped. Overall Length: 66"  5. SOLD. Fabrice Cognot Complexe hilt German Longsword and scabbard with by knife and pricker. Swords like this were sold through Garth Vincent antiques and are made by a mysterious guy in norther England. Thats all the info I got when I bought it. Very nice antique looking modern made sword. As new condition. This is a bare blade made by me. This is made out of Car-tech Micro Melt CD#1 which is a powder metallurgy steel with an HRC of 59.5-60 and toughness equivalent of 5160. knifesteelnerds.com/2022/12/16/z-tuff-and-cd1-the-toughest-knife-steel/. (CD#1 and Ztuff are the same) The blade is based on measurements I got from the "Munich" sword at Bayeriches National Museum from the Museum itself.   |
