Does anyone have experience of Albion Europe’s delivery times for swords that are out of stock. On the website it said that it could take up to 4 months to delivery, but I’m hoping it will be quicker then that.
I bought a Next Gen Squire and I’m champing at the bit to get my hands on it.

It's up to. Although some swords may take even longer. I was quoted the same when I ordered my Crecy but it got here in 2 months. Of course that is the US. You can call and ask for a better time estimate on the sword you are interested in.

It's been speculated that swords that share blades with other sword (for example, the mercenary and the castellan) are made quicker because there is a higher chance of them having a ready made blade on hand. This is the case for your blade, so it may help Ancalagon

I have herd a number of people recommend only buying from Albion swords they have in stock because they sit on your deposit forever... or try the secondary market.

I think your confusing in stock vs in model. Pre-order something and they will sit on that deposit forever. Ordering a sword already in prodution and in general it doesn't take more then 4 months. Which really isn't all that long or bad.

Hello
This was posted on MyArmoury: a list of swords currently in stock:
Bayeux Burgundian Caithness Duke Hersir Hospitaller Huskarl Jarl Laird Landgraf Prince (steel pommel) Senlac Sherriff
Now I'll note that your squire isn't listed, but I can't believe they would list a sword that was already sold so...
cheers,
Ancalagon

It's arrive, ;D ;D the postie left it with my neighbour this morning. It’s taken just over 2 months, which isn’t bad.
PS I think one of the things with Albion Europe which extends delivery time is that the stock has to be shipped firstly from the US to their Europe branch (in Denmark). So if its not in stock they have to wait for it to be shipped out to them before they can forward it on to their customers.
