Why sell?
(just curious...when I do, it's normally because I need to raise money because there is another sword I want but don't have the available hobby funds to get (and when wife says I am not to get more swords, and of course, as a good husband I agree), I view replacing one sword with another sword is not a violation of my word to not buy "more swords".
For instance, there is a sword I like, but my Jkoo's won't sell used above my buy prices.
So I'm trying to decide if I want to sell my best blade (happens to be a Huawei waki) for enough to cover the cost of the new sword I would like....but would ask $500usd for it, and most folks are into katana's, not wakizashi's, despite waki's being better for indoors.

I know isn’t it? Thats what hurts most about it! Well after having my entire neck fused (C-2 to T-2) there’s some medical bills, but I can neither confirm nor deny the possibility of putting aside some funds for either my first nihonto, or a more recent tamahagane blade. I see you’ve mastered the ancient art of twisting our promises to our wives by renaming the wording to the agreement 😉 I’ve been very fortunate to have a wife that also loves swords. All I had to do was buy her a butterfly themed katana, and one with cherry blossoms, and I have the green light to go……as long as I don’t bankrupt us lol Funny you should mention that, but I had two JKOO swords that were just through hardened dedicated cutters that I was selling, and I ended up having to sell them together because no one would buy them separately. What a chop buster that whole transaction was!
