Update: Thanks to all the polite comments and interested parties. Both swords are now sold.
Hello all! I'm new to the forum, but a long-time member of the myarmoury forum (13 years under the screenname "D. S. Smith"), where I have sold the Albion Crecy, Laird, Knight, and Vassal. I'm currently having password issues on that forum, so while I await a response from the admin, I decided to list my swords for sale here as well. I'll give background and photos of each of the items, but please feel free to PM or email me with any questions you may have.
The first item is an Albion Chevalier ***SOLD***. I bought this new, directly from the Albion booth at the 2022 CombatCon in Las Vegas. I have never used the sword as anything but a wall-hanger (neither of these listed swords have ever been used to strike anything). The photos I'm attaching appear to accurately represent the color of the hilt. The drag bag underneath is OD green, for reference. Unfortunately, I can't speak to the color of the hilt beyond that, as I am color-blind, so please don't laugh if the colors are incredibly obvious to everyone but myself (it appears black to my eyes). This sword is in the same condition in which I bought it new and shows no signs of tarnish, other than the brass pommel being ever so slightly darker than when new. The Chevalier in this configuration retails from Albion for $1645, plus tax. I am asking $1500, with shipping charges described below.
The second and third items are an Albion Sempach and DBK Custom scabbard. ***SOLD*** Unfortunately, I am unable to separate these two items, and they will only be sold as a "package deal". I bought the Sempach new, directly from Albion, in 2013. The hilt is dark brown. Like the Chevalier, the Sempach has never been used for any purpose (not even a wall-hanger). It shows some very slight patina spots (no rust or pitting) on the blade, as shown in the photos below. I use Break-free CLP for my swords and Rennaissance wax for the handles and scabbards, but after 10 years, it's difficult to entirely prevent patina on exposed carbon steel. I bought the scabbard directly from Brian Kunz at DBK Custom Scabbards, in 2015, for a price of $1255 plus $45 shipping. I had long since lost the receipt, but Brian was kind enough to research the sale for me yesterday when I emailed him and informed him I'd be selling these items. Brian's scabbards, for those who are unfamiliar with his work, are considered the best in the business, bar none. He currently has a 2.5-3 year waiting list. This very scabbard can be viewed on his site at the following link:
dbkcustomswords.com/custscabbs/DSAlbionSempach.html
The Sempach currently retails for $1392. I am asking $2100 for both the Sempach and the scabbard, which is a savings of $547 (and more importantly the wait times from both Albion and Brian).
In regard to shipping, it will be quite expensive for me to mail these swords. I am asking a flat rate of $50 for each sword (and the scabbard with the Sempach sale of course) shipped to CONUS. I don't believe that will come close to covering actual shipping costs, but I'm trying to be reasonable. Additionally, if a buyer purchases both the Sempach and Chevalier, I will knock $200 off the total price. I'm open to negotiating prices for any buyers who are willing to meet me for an in-person sale in the state of Washington, as well. Paypal is my preferred payment method.
If anyone has questions on the handling of either of these two swords, please contact me. I have owned 6 Albions and handled many more than that and can provide comparisons. I won't go into detail on this posting since it's getting excessive already. Please contact me here by PM, or email me at: blackhawk5150@yahoo.com.
