postimg.cc/gallery/f9QyM7QI’m selling my Valiant Armoury ‘Savoy’ long sword. $800 OBO I paid $1,345.00 for this baby. Leather is in the Ox Blood color option. Everything is in mint condition. No dings, no dents, no scratches or any kind. I’ve only taken it out of the scabbard a handful of times and it is oiled regularly. I did cut a pumpkin when I first got it, that is the only action it’s seen. This Sword has an Overall Length: 44 1/2 inches Sword Blade Length: 34 1/2 inches Sword Handle Length: 7 1/4 inches Sword Blade Material: Hand made 6150 High Carbon Spring Steel Sword Blade Width at Guard: 1 13/16" Sword Weight 2 lb. 9 oz. I love this sword so much and don’t want to part with it, but I can no longer afford both my guitar hobby and my sword hobby. I may possibly be willing to trade for a guitar or an amp if anyone has something that interests me. I accept pretty much any payment method. I prefer cash app or Venmo or one of those but I can work with you. You can email me directly Joe.organicmusic@gmail.com or PM me. -joe

Hey, good luck with the sale. If I may make a couple suggestions...
Since you're new to the forum, a picture of the sword with your sales post in the background, or a picture containing both the sword and a hand-written note with your username and date, can help instill trust in potential buyers that you have the sword in your possession.
Also, since Valiant Armoury has some older swords of this same model - the Special Edition, with a Chinese-made blade - if yours has the VA maker's mark (which is on the majority of their Craftsman swords), I suggest including a picture showing that maker's mark.

Thank you for the advice, I will certainly do what you said. I actually used to be a member of this forum many years ago. It’s been a while since I’ve lurked around here. I can’t seem to figure out how to get directly on the post? Do I have to be a member member for a certain amount of time to be able to do that?

The sword looks to me to be VA's earlier line (Signature?) with imported blades. I don't believe they had those priced at the same point as the Craftsman line. The $1345 is for the current Craftsman US made Savoy model.
I'm not sure if Sonny or Zach are on here, maybe they could confirm.

The chape style was mostly used on the imported blades and early Craftsman series (non-marked). Blade style is more of a XIIIa with the spatulate point where the current offerings have a more refined point (but still XIIIa in general profile).
