Hello all, sorry, forgot to add my name to the images, I'll upload it soon. I have a Komonjo blade for sale. Excellent shape, no damage except for a tiny open layer in the mune. very tiny, it's actually a fine series of dots rather than an actual opening. 7mm thick, about 32mm wide at the habaki. 84cm long total or right at about 33 inches. Just a bit shy of an odachi. Had no habaki, I added one. Brass cast habaki had no machigane, so I carefully added one with some jewelers tools. Excellent, ready to mount piece. Asking $650 shipped US. I also have a honoki wood saya blank. Honoki is extremely hard to come by right now. During covid, most places stopped sourcing it overseas due to lack of supply. I was only able to get some due to friendly relationships I have with people in Japan, plus actually being IN Japan to order it. Asking $100 shipped for the wood blank. It's a perfect sori for the okatana I am selling here too.

Ooh I am very interested in this! Do you have a picture showing the full blade so I can get an idea for the shape?

Very cool. I’ll think on it but I may indeed snap it up.

Is the honoki blank enough for tsuka and saya or just the saya?

Just for the saya, blade and nakago are a bit too big. It would look funny with a 7 inch tsuka

Are the swords from Komonjo usually nihontos or high quality chinese replicas?

Are the swords from Komonjo usually nihontos or high quality chinese replicas? As far as I know, they are not nihonto. But their quality and aesthetic is a lot better than virtually all Longquan Japanese style swords. Surely that blade looks very nice! Good luck with the sale to Aaron.

Actually I bought it! I’m working on making koshirae for it, posting in the sword customization section if you’re curious!
