I was about to buy a Hanwei katana from this site "samurai-katana-shop.nl" but after a brief search, I found out that all these websites, Samurai-Katana-Shop.nl, Katana-Samurai-Sword.nl, and Zwaardonline.nl, share the same address, phone number and the same bank account under the name of Asian Import Heemskerk!! Please ,I need to know if "samurai-katana-shop.nl" is legit. Has anyone recently had any experience buying from them? Thank you

I believe it's legit, at least it was a few years ago. It's a widespread tactic now to get as many hits as you can, knivesandtools or knifeshop have websites with all the .** endings inside EU but are legit shops. There is one shop that is a scammy site, I'll look what it was, I believe dragon-something-something. But I can't vouch that it still is a good shop.
EDIT: Scummy page was dragonsports .eu, I have had some contact with samurai-katana-shop.nl and they looked on the up-and-up. You can use any european sword seller though, Swords-and-more, battlemerchant (they also sell via amazon), not sure if schwertshop still does sell outside germany (had a few bad experiences with them, but they have a lot of cheap katana)

Seems like there were two shops with very very similar names - one legit and respected, the other alleged to be scamming folks by having a site name easily confused with the former.
There was some discussion here on the forum, but it was a while back.
Prolly worth a look before leaping.

NL shop is legit, I bought from them. Had to return because QC was abysmal (it was a Hanuo Forge piece) but the shop is indeed legit.

Had a look around and
Zwaardonline.nl is new, like beginning of 2024.
Katana-Samurai-Sword.nl definately looks shady, terrible loading times, also very new.
samurai-katana-shop.nl has been online and trading for a while.
I would guess 2 of them are either the owner changing business or scams - you know what, I'll ask.

Zwaardonline is a new page made with a different program, might be the future, but they are all legit. |

Both communication and transaction were very smooth. Unfortunately the sword was just bad, the blade looked like heavily used due to a large amount of scratches everywhere and the saya had a broken koiguchi. Refund process was also kinda smooth. |
