Seeking some information on a recent purchase , I can find no makers mark anywhere on the sword or scabbard but it does have the light infantry logo. Copper wire wrapped bakelite grip with lion head pommel in brass . Scabbard is leather over wood with brass furniture Attachments:

Looks way too curved to be a regular 1796 pattern..... flank officer's sword, perhaps? probably horn, not bakelite...which was created much later in the 1900's...though there was some earlier celluloid material, i believe, that the Germans used in the late 1800's. Not unusual that there are no maker's marks on an officer's sword. They were private purchase.....issued sword are more likely to have makers marks.

Sorry to be of no help with ID or info, but I just had to say that’s a very fine looking sword!
