I have the opportunity to take several fiore classes that involve cutting exercises at a 2 week medieval event this august.
Really hoping to find a gently used blade or relatively new.
Scabbard would be fantastic for an additional price, but not required.

Christian Short is selling a brand new Fiore, price drop below current Albion pricing, so a good opportunity if you really want a shiny one. Someone else DM'd him already, but you might still have a shot.

I literally opened the message by quoting his for sale post, then explained I was curious how this transaction could be done securely on both ends. If that be by paypal/venmo/cashap whatever works.
Im investigating the ringeck at kult. Just a big sadface because it was the fiore or mercenary I was holding out for.

Looks like Ringeck is gone from KoA, hope it was you! Thing I notice about the Merc is people say it is a hybrid, you can use it one handed like an arming sword. To me it did feel “usable” as an arming sword but when I picked up an actual arming sword immediately after I could really tell the difference in handling. So in situations for a longsword I’d still want a longsword, and for situations for an arming sword and buckler/shield I would still want an arming sword. I don’t think the Merc excels in either situation but it would be “usable” but at a disadvantage compared to the ideal weapon. |

Would have been fantastic to have the darkened hardware on the Ringeck, however I have been told that finish doesnt hold up well in class and cutting use.
I appreciate and thank you all for advice, direction and input.
SBG is a really remarkable set of forums, reminds me of the old ArmourArchive.

You can do cold blueing on the hiltwork yourself fairly easily if you ever felt the desire. |

If you are in WI by the big pond, have you gone to New Glarus to visit Albion (Mon-Thur, by appointment only)? That is the best way to determine the ideal models for you.
(I'm also in WI a few miles from a really big pond)
