Doing a different style of bowie knife blade than I usually do. The blade is 10in long (8 7/8in cutting edge) 1 1/2in wide it will be around 1/2in thick. The tang is a little long right now but it will be forged for a brass end cap.
1/2" seems really thick. Is there a reason selected that?

Typo it's going to be 1/4in thick.

Hmmmh, selling it as a .50 Bowie could work.

If you can think of it, it exists. It's 0,79" though
I like a more functional design like Diggers' better though.

I don't think a .50 or perhaps a .45 Bowie for oldschoolers has to be a clunky steel bar. Only on a small thickest part, f.e. at the spine starting at the guard, half an " along, then strongly tapering. I like the idea of such a brand, combined with a usable knife. An .50/45 inlay in the grip?
