Thank you! It’s done a great job at protecting the blade and is snug, but won’t mar the finish and doesn’t absorb or hold moisture

Oh man, I love this sword. Good price, especially with the kydex sheath. I’m still in the process of selling one of mine, but if funds become available, I’ll send you a message.

What's the length on the grip? I've always been gladius shy because I have XXL paws, and they don't look like XXL grips.

I just measured it and the grip is 3.5 inches. This actually surprised me because I thought it would be longer, however I’ve got big mits as well and it fits perfectly for me. When I ball my hand into a fist it measures right at 3.5 too. I’ve handled a lot of Albion’s but I’ll say I really like the grip feel on their gladius’s.

I feel comfortable at 4.5. I've got a beautiful Albion Huskarl with a 4 inch grip, and I can just barely tolerate it when cutting. I've also got a Tod's bronze-hilted rondel dagger with a 10.5cm grip, and my hand locks in like a vice between the rondels. I really like the looks of the Aquilifer, and this is seriously a steal of a deal. Unfortunately, at 3.5 inches, I'd need to handle one before I decide to put money down.

That’s totally understandable. I would imagine this one would be more forgiving and comfortable to grip with a larger hand than the Huskarl based on the shapes of the pommels, but I can understand the apprehension.
