I have two Russian M1881 swords with Persian letters on them. Can someone give me some history and provenance of these swords? Attachments:

I have one of those also, I had assumed they were just replicas. Although it isn't a bad sword, it's functional.

Persia used these swords in their own military. I think the Russian 1881 was taken on as the Persian M1909 Dragoon Shashka. The Persian Cossack Brigade was formed in 1879 under the Qajar dynasty and dressed in Cossack uniforms with Cossack weapons and tactics, trained and commanded by Russian cavalry officers on loan from the Imperial Russian Army.

They are M1889, based on the RU M1881 made under license for the Persian Army. I have one. Fairly good quality. Not a fake or replica.
